I've uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of Realtek drivers and nothing helped. Saddly i got slighly other mixer (Realtek Audio Console) but it had same features. I restarted once more and then istarted working properly. I restarted PC and then i installed drivers from cd. I believe it could be that I updated Windows after the initial installation because I could see the speaker icon in Taskbar before that. Then i removed my old drivers by deleting 'Audio' folder: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio' and all contents. Try with a different PC to see if you can get any equaliser working anywhere.
